Our Story

Community, coffee, and a whole lot of heart

Mayberry's Coffee House

How It All Began

Mayberry's Coffee House & Eatery was born from a simple belief: that good food (especially desserts) and coffee are some of life's simple pleasures. It can get your day started off right and is a great way to bring people together.

The Morrill Family

The Morrill family's roots run deep in small-town, Midwest life. Chris is a native of Iowa, and Anita grew up in Minnesota. After meeting in Omaha, they settled in Iowa, searching for the right place to call home.

After a three-year search, they finally felt “at home” in 2019 when they settled on a homestead in Osceola with their four children.

“Osceola reminds me so much of the small town in southern Minnesota where I grew up.”— Anita Morrill

Small businesses and community are important to the Morrills. Chris owns and operates several other small businesses in central Iowa. When the opportunity came to take the reins of a beloved coffee shop on the town square, the family knew it was the perfect fit.

“We want Mayberry's to be a place that fosters community in Osceola — a place where people can gather and form deep relationships that will only make our town an even greater place to live.”— Anita Morrill

What We're About

Fresh Daily

Everything is baked from scratch each morning. From our pies and muffins to our scones and cinnamon rolls — always fresh, always made with love.

Community First

We're more than a coffee shop — we're a gathering place. Neighbors become friends over coffee and pie on the town square.

Baking From The Heart

Every recipe carries a story. We pour our hearts into every cup and every bite, so you can taste the difference that love makes.
